Our second grade class is made up of students who are growing up in a medium sized town surrounded by Illinois farmland. It takes at least 30 minutes to drive to a city that is larger than ours. It takes over an hour to get to a zoo. Comprehending what a city the size of Chicago is like is hard to imagine. Learning about the deserts in Arizona is a challenge to envision. We need a way to learn about towns, cities, our own state and our country. We are curious. Where are these places we read and learn about?
