Student-selected centers make up a large portion of our day. Although the students are given the choice of where to play, we have deliberately created learning experiences for them in each center to spark learning, assess their development with skills, and promote social interactions with their peers.
A light table with sensory, building materials, literacy and math manipulatives can be a wonderful new center for students to engage with each other in learning. We would love to add this light table to our centers as another choice for our students that will "accidentally-on purpose" be a way to explore many different subjects and practice sharing and interaction with their classmates.
