This year my class has the good fortune of having iPads to use in the classroom. However, the iPads do not have the proper protection for use with first graders. I am requesting covers for our iPads so that students can use them without the fear of damaging them. iPads are used in the classroom to listen to reading and also during literacy and math centers. We use a variety of apps to help reinforce mathematical and literary concepts and skills. The students are engaged during the iPad center. Students will also be able to conduct research by using the iPads. Our class also uses ClassDojo and they will be able to add their work to their student portfolio.
