We all remember sitting as a whole group in our elementary school classrooms to listen to our favorite story with our classes. My class does not have the benefit of a bright cozy, spot to gather for story time, or a rug that is big enough to fit us all comfortably. A carpet with clearly delineated seating areas will help my kindergarten students know where to sit so that they can focus best on the lessons and activities. Having this carpet in our classroom will save invaluable time, as energy can be focused into the lesson rather than into directing and redirecting students on where they should sit. The lessons and activities that take place on the carpet are an essential component to my first graders' learning experience. Help me make my room fun and inviting so my Kindergarteners can continue their hard work in reading, writing, and math!
