Students who play instruments have greater levels of academic success. Putting high quality instruments into student hands will allow them to express creativity while stimulating areas of the brain to maximize learning potential. Having durable, quality instruments will allow longevity so as many students as possible can experience the instruments.
Ukuleles are an instrument that is relevant in contemporary music and can be quick to learn. Teaching relevant instruments will spike student interest and get them enthusiastic about learning. Some of the benefits to students learning an instrument are improvement in memory through simple exercises of remembering instrument specific skills, improved hand/eye coordination, help with concentration, stress relief, and a sense of achievement for the students.
