It is my goal to get students to be independent learners, but it is hard to be independent when they don't have the chance to do their own research and learn at their own pace. This project will allow them to be the best learners they can be. My students really thrive when they are given the opportunity to use technology at their level. They are more engaged and involved in their own learning whether that is through collaboration, projects, or creating their own pathways to learning.
They are able to create, produce, and publish individual and collaborative work. They are able to see their growth soar through individualized instruction based on their needs. They are able to broaden and expand their learning in new and exciting ways!
Currently I only have three computers for all 24 of my students to share. I would love for my students to have a 1:1 ratio, but the feasibility of that is difficult. I plan to use 5 Chromebooks to set up learning stations so students can rotate and use the devices to excel in their learning. With the addition of these Chromebooks, we'll be on our way to each student having a device to enhance their learning throughout the year!
