In my PK-3 classroom, we often use "play" for learning. Students are encouraged to create or match using hands-on material during center time. This is fun but often the final product is not documented or celebrated. I want to change that by using ClassDojo or Seesaw to document work and create portfolios. Using a tablet, students will have access to taking photographs of their work and submitting them for approval by the teacher.
This will allow students to be self-accountable and involve parents to see their work through the software. It will also allow me to monitor progress and growth. I will be able to identify areas of growth and give students personalized instruction.
