The items I selected for this project will be used each and every day during our small group time. These activities will be used to assist students in reading and math. My classroom is a special needs classroom with students that have a wide variety of educational needs. These reading and math activities will allow these students to practice their fluency and develop a deeper understanding. A lot of the students in my class are at least one grade level or more below their current grade in reading and math. The students will have access each day to use these word games, math games, and sight word builders.
Each day students get an hour and a half to work through small group centers. The purchase of these items will allow students to work on their exact needs for 30 minutes each and every day. All of these activities were selected based on my students needs this year. My students have tested in math and reading this year so I know what they need to build more fluency on and what they need to practice more.
