We need drawstring backpacks to assist our students in hands-free learning on field trips. Children this age get tired quickly, and these backpacks will allow students to practice the independence of carrying their own lunches and jackets on field trips. An added benefit allows teachers to also remain hands-free and able to interact more freely with students without having to carry student belongings.
Without having to carry a lunch or jacket in their hands, students will be more attentive and better able to interact with the environment which means more participation and engagement. This translates to increased mastery of standards.
