In first grade students are still learning how to read and need to interact with books consistently throughout the day. Having a comfortable place for students to go to sit and snuggle up with a book is important so that they can feel good while reading and enjoying books. A new rug and some soft seats will really make a difference for my students so they don't have to sit on uncomfortable tile while enjoying a new book. A cozy library will be inviting to them so that they can focus on learning to read and enjoying their new books to the fullest.
