These supplies will help the students have the basics in Algebra class. The basic supplies will help students complete their math in class. Most of them cannot afford to buy pencils, and I would like to give them a pencil pouch with three pencils each, which will be stored in their binders. And if we have pencils we will need pencil sharpeners. As for the file dividers, those will be used to separate each class in the file bins that store their binders for math.
I know that the graphing calculators are expensive, and I am hoping there will be a generous donation so my students can have the opportunity to use a graphing calculator in Algebra. My two big reasons are: First, this calculator is the first calculator students learn to use in higher education and for my students to have the same opportunities as neighboring suburb students have in 8th grade Algebra class. Second, this is the calculator used on their state tests; by learning how to use this calculator, my students will have a jump on this exam. I teach about 120 students and would appreciate any donations to help out the students in my classroom.
