As my students move up through middle school, I want them to build their own personal responsibility and organization. While previously they received homework packets, starting in 4th grade, their assignments and tests come at different paces. Our school is a dual language school, and developing responsibility and organization needs to stretch across both languages.
Each student will have their own dual language agenda, in both English and Spanish, helping them organize their assignments, prepare for assessments, and plan out their daily schedules. Students will get explicit training in class on how to use the agendas, and as the year progresses, they will take more and more responsibility on their own. Last year, these were a great success, and I envision even greater success! Thank you.
