We are in desperate need of calculators to use in our math and science classrooms. Our math spans from advanced 4th grade to Algebra 2. Students use the calculators as a learning tool for simple to advanced math and formulas and for real-world projects of discovery in science.
Although we need new calculators for all of our students, 40 calculators would make a major impact in the classroom. We have very old calculators that are literally falling apart or becoming unusable. 40 calculators would ensure that we have enough working for every student, especially because we also must use them for district and statewide standardized tests. Some of our classes do not have enough to go around.
