In my classroom, students often lie on the floor, under tables, and in corners around the room in search of a comfortable place to learn other than the rigid desk they are assigned to use. Students work best when they have the freedom to find comfortable spaces to work either independently or in small groups. With flexible seating, the classroom is arranged to give a variety of options. This gives students the option to control the physical environment in which they work best. Research shows that flexible seating leads to "increased student engagement and improved overall behavior." The products I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.
