In first grade, students have a lot of standards to master and in order to reach all learners, they need hands-on practice. When children are engaged and enjoying math, they will be more successful.
Math should be fun, and I want my students to love math! We learn all about shapes and time. The best way to learn is by using clocks and shapes in your hands to understand them. We also spend all year becoming fluent in addition and subtraction up to 20. Playing addition and subtraction games are a fun way to learn math facts!
My students get the opportunity to practice math skills in stations each day after the main lesson. They would love to have new and fun math games to practice their skills as they master them!
