Having a rug would do wonders for my classroom! Since I teach the entire school, Pre-K to 8th grade, it is difficult to accomodate all age groups in one spot. My younger students would benefit tremendously from having a place to sit together to learn since they have difficulty seeing and sitting in the "big kid" desks.
Having a rug in my classroom would allow for more concentration, more comradery and better instruction. Students would have a sense of community while playing games, singing songs and speaking the language all together.
The rug would provide a space for joyous learning, allowing students to delve into a new language and different cultures. It would provide a space to discover, collaborate, play and learn!
