Wow, I can only envision the excitement on the student's faces when they see all of the amazing materials that they will get to explore and create with. I hope to be able to inspire them to become passionate artist and create the safe-zone of an art room that I’ve always dreamt of having. In sharing my passion and knowledge of the materials and history of art, I want to inspire the students and encourage them to come and explore all that the art room has to offer. Having the room open for students at the end of the day can give them a place to go and be creative. My project is basically a request to stock an art classroom with some of the essentials. I’m requesting watercolors, paint brushes, chalk pastels, cray-pas, lots of paper, charcoal, sharpie markers, and erasers just to name a few of the items. I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to have such a large classroom, it almost resembles a gymnasium! I want to create some amazing creative stations for the students to be able to explore on their own. One being a still life drawing area where I will have a still life set up with lighting for the students to draw from. I’d love to eventually have a printmaking station as well as a 3-d multimedia spot in the classroom. These materials will just touch the surface of what is to come for my art program!
