After a year of pandemic learning, my first-grade students may have some catching up to do. Students may have missed out on some academic content and virtual differentiation was limited. Our “Hands-on Learning” project will provide my students with a variety of engaging activities to practice math, reading, and writing standards. Students will be able to learn using hands-on activities such as pocket charts, draw write touch boards, a letter activity center, number bingo, phonics puzzles, and more. These activities will give my students opportunities to learn using multisensory manipulatives. Every student loves games! What’s more fun than learning through play?
Students will learn through play with safety protocols in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 8-Tray Mobile Organizers will keep the activities separate between students. We will store the trays on the organizer and disinfect them between student uses.
Overall, these colorful hands-on games and activities will definitely help my students return to the classroom after a year of pandemic. These centers will boast my students learning to “bridge the academic gap” while creating a safety barrier with the tray organizers.
