Allowing students choice seating that is flexible to their needs can help enhance their learning. These balance balls, wobbly cushions, and seat pillows will allow their bodies to move and stay comfortable so they can focus on the task and the learning they are working toward.
Flexible seating will also teach young second graders to become aware and confident with their body's needs. This is powerful at a young age and will follow with them as they learn and grow into adults and citizens within our community.
The impact of movement in children is astronomical and directly connected to their ability to focus. When children have movement within their day, they are more focused and even have a more positive outlook in what they can accomplish. Think about the last time you had to sit for a really long time and how much it affected you. It is affecting our CHILDREN too!
Thank you for helping me share OUR FUTURE!
