I am in need of a MacBook so that I can display my students' musical talents in a digital format. The performing arts are hurting right now during the pandemic. My students, who normally have at least 3 or 4 performances per year, are down to none because of Covid-19. My students deserve more. My district only provides teachers with a simple Chromebook which does not have the capability to do a quality recording. With a MacBook, I will be able to record and edit student work using Garage Band as well as use iMovie and other programs to turn the show into a video for the parents and community to watch and listen to. Having a MacBook will allow me to record, edit and produce quality digital performances for my students; this will create something they will be proud of and will make a positive memory during a difficult time.
