Some of my students began the year with earbuds but many of them have already broken or have become lost. By having a classroom set of good quality headphones, parents would be assured that their student was able to use the same materials as their peer. Using the headphones would ensure that students would be able to clearly hear sounds so that they can connect the sound to the matching letter shape. This will also be able to help them begin their own writing. This holds true for helping them connect numbers and quantities in math. For science, students would be able to view mini science videos and then have discussions with their peers about what they learned and observed.
