The best way for a child to learn to be cooperative is giving time to play freely with other children in an organic way. Giving them a space without restrictions and rules allows a group of peers to “ work out problems” with out the teacher having to over manage. Having these materials will give them that opportunity . I plan on introducing a building center and a dramatic play center. learning the essential basics of cooperation through play to help cut down on the disruptions and arguments during learning time. When we learn to work out our simple problems, we are learning ways to solve the more complex problems we will face in the future!
