The iPad will be used as a resource that contains apps for basic skills review. The iPad will allow the students access to apps to refresh their basic skills in Math and Science. This will enable me as a teacher to help my students utilize accommodations that they need to succeed in the regular education classrooms. We have limited access to technology--this will allow for an additional student workstation in the classroom. Students can log onto Khan Academy to practice their basic skills. Also, I envision my students being able to utilize an iPad by accessing available wifi networks to connect with their google drives to work on class projects during homeroom and enrichment opportunities. Supplemental projects will be offered particularly in the areas of mathematics, money and, financial literacy. I feel like this project will give my students access to technology that otherwise would not be available to them.
In addition to general education support and projects geared towards developing their literacy skills, students will also be able to monitor their grades through our Aeries grade book system helping them further succeed towards their goals of earning a high school diploma. Technology access should be available for all students. Let's get them connected to apps and using the cloud.
