This project will help my students with sensory issues, visual processing, reading, and writing. During math and reading lessons students can choose flexible seating (wobble chairs) so that they feel more comfortable and ready to learn. By having extra supports in place my students will be able to gain growth in reading and in math. Students practice spelling in conjunction with reading. How we write is important to how our brains process words and ideas within the words we write. By my students having to use less energy to form letters they will have supports in place that will less hinder the writing and spelling process.
My students deserve to have every opportunity to be successful in the classroom and this includes having the best supports in place to that they can equally and fairly gain access to an education.
