In our class, we cover all of the major events in U.S. History starting with the Reconstruction Era (right after the Civil War) all the way to the present! This means we cover industrialization, captains of industry (such as Carnegie and Rockefeller), Westward Expansion, The Roaring 20s, The Great Depression, WWI and WWII, The Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam, and much more!
These speakers will allow my students to truly feel like they are there on the beaches of Normandy or like they are one of the Freedom Riders in the South.
When my students get the opportunity to actually see what people went through in The Great Depression, experience what the Attack on Pearl Harbor looked like, and hear the important speeches made throughout the Civil Rights Movement, they are able to retain and truly understand the importance of those events.
