Tuning with other instruments is a fundamental skill that all musicians must learn. The Harmony Director serves as a tuning teaching tool that accommodates all learners. It will allow teachers to isolate tuning tendencies and chord structures. We have to adapt to students and their individual learning styles, and this technology will allow us differentiate instruction, reaching all students in our program.
The Harmony Director has the ability to teach through example, rather than just words.
A year later, we are still feelings the affects of Hurricane Harvey. Many students were displaced from their homes, creating lasting emotional distress. Music provides the creative outlet for our students to express these feelings that were brought on by the hurricane.
Having the Harmony Director as a part of our classroom will not only positively affect our current students, but students for years to come. By improving the individual skills of each musician, it will allow our ensembles to go from excellent to outstanding!
