My goal for this projects is to have enough aprons, gloves and shoe covers for each student in my classes. Students still have to attend other classes after they leave my room. While a few students don't mind getting messy, it is understandable that they want to keep their clothes, hands and shoes clean for the rest of their school day.
Having aprons, gloves and shoe covers would help my students be even more willing to jump in their lab activities. Using the gloves, students will be able to fill up flower pots with soil without worrying they will be dirty for the rest of the school day. With aprons, students wouldn't have to worry about messing up their clothes in the greenhouse. The same applies for shoe covers. Some students bring a change of shoes but others only have one pair of shoes.
