I am a 5th grade ELA teacher from New Jersey that needs to replace a battered classroom rug and give all my incoming students the choice and voice in reading that I never had growing up. You will see that I care about giving my students choices in reading. It builds a love of reading that is paramount to the growth of adolescent literacy. I am a reading specialist faced with many challenges in our classroom and 48 different types of reader, but I need basic tools like books and a place to read for my students. This project will help to create life-long readers!
