The donations that I am asking for will allow my classroom to feel like home. I find that many of my students have difficulty sitting in desks. The items I am asking for will give my students variety and choice when entering my classroom. The bean bags, exercise balls, and carpet provide students with an alternative seat as opposed to being confined by a desk. The lap desks will allow them to complete their assignments within their flexible seating arrangements.
These flexible seating arrangements will enhance my instruction time and group work time. The flexible seating will provide them a comfortable setting to work together in and improve collaboration among themselves. Students can have a literature circle on the carpet, while another group can work on an assignment together on the exercise balls. By meeting the physical needs of my students I will be able to meet their learning needs.
