The students will be instantly hooked when reading the inspirational novel Out of My Mind. They will have the chance to analyze the depths of these characters and relate to them. Students will use their background knowledge to engage with the text, pulling out evidence and making inferences. I will use these books in both my regular ELA class and RTI (reading intervention). This is a book that offers the ability to ask low and high level questions. I will be able to get students of all abilities to engage in critical thinking. I know my students will love it!
