Students learn how to use AutoCAD software and apply what they have learned in Physics and Math classes to create original manufactured parts. This proposal is to support our use of a CNC Router so that students can make their own parts to solve technical problems like those presented in a FIRST Robotics Competition. The rotational Mill table will allow students to make simple parts on a Digital Read Out Mill that would normally take a Lathe which we do not have. The end mill tools are designed to cut aluminum at medium speeds which is our primary need. With these tools, the students will be able to build 100% of the parts needed to make a FIRST Robot and other original co-curricular projects.
