During my reading block, students are building up stamina to read silently for around 15 minutes. I want my students to get excited about this time during the day. Having these bean bags available will make them feel comfortable and begin to enjoy reading. I wish I could have a variety of pillows and comfy chairs. The other supplies are needed to teach and pencils will help them get a better grip during writing. You can never have too much chart paper. I use chart paper to display lessons that were previously taught as a helpful tool for my students.
