I will be teaching 7/8 Special Education. When I first got into my classroom, there were very few materials to support the students. Just having a place to write concepts and words with the easel I am requesting will make a huge difference in their ability to grasp reading and math concepts.
I will use the book sets every day when I teach guided reading with small groups of students.
These students also need a lot of comfort and safety. The weighted blanket and items for calming nerves will truly help.
My students will especially appreciate the chart holders. Although many students have a smart board in their class, this basic chart will make all the difference to these students.
