Having a classroom set of ukuleles will allow the upper grade students to learn to play an instrument and enrich their musical knowledge enough to bring it to the next level. Introducing students to musical instruments that are user friendly, like ukuleles, will help bridge students from no instrumental knowledge to becoming a proficient instrumentalist. The ukuleles that I want to get for my students already have chords printed on the finger board, making it very easy for students to get a hold on the instrument. Teaching students instruments along with music theory will be extremely beneficial in keeping the students engaged and interested. They will get the opportunity to express themselves creatively through creating music.
