I am trying to remodel my classroom so that it is more inviting for what I teach. I am a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and I teach a multitude of subjects ranging from cooking, sewing, personal finances, early childcare, and many more. I have been slowly getting dining room tables and chairs from yard sales.
I only need 2 more dining room tables and about a dozen more chairs and my room makeover will be complete.
My students enjoy having something different to sit at that isn't just the normal classroom furniture. Also, having furniture that mimics what they have at home makes it more likely that what they learn in class will be used at home.
