My students are bombarded with negative images from television and in their very neighborhoods. The negative images impact their thoughts and ideas. We will use the camera to capture the beauty that exist in the world. We will also capture students helping other students and discuss the beauty in lending a hand to help someone. We will relate the images to our study of core democratic values in our social studies class.
The images that we capture will encourage the students to notice the beauty all around them. The images will also encourage the students to continue to be a help to others.
