We currently are using very old Texas Instrument Calculators, but are too complicated for my students. I would love to give these calculators to the 8th grade teachers (graphing) and purchase some solar inexpensive calculators. These calculators will be a lot less expensive to use in the future without me purchasing new AAA batteries every year. Each of these older calculators require 4 AAA batteries every year, which end up in our landfills every year!! With these new easy to use solar calculators we will be helping out the 8th grade students with more graphing calculators and our 7th grade students using less complicated non-graphing calculators.
