We are using flexible seating for the first time this year! We got rid of all the desks and chairs. Students are encouraged to choose their own work spaces.
Sit spots will be used to define spaces for different projects and allow them to work in different areas in our school. They will use them to work with partners and in small groups. We will also use them during our reading groups.
The sit spots will make a difference in their learning by allowing them to move their work spaces to different areas in the building. They will also be able to incorporate movement in the classroom when we use them for Brain Gym Stations.
