With cuts to budgets, our students are in need of basic PE Equipment.
Our lessons involve teaching skills classes for volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, and movement exercises.
With the budgets throughout the City of Minneapolis, no line is in place for PE Equipment. I teach over 550 students 5 days a week and this project will enable more students to participate in the daily activities. The opportunity to partake in daily physical activity enriches our students mental and physical health. Playing in class teaches teamwork, cooperation, and competition. Having the resources to teach and engage more students is my goal for this project.
Some of our students are experiencing homelessness and struggle to find ways to engage in physical activity outside of school.
