The use of iPads with communication apps has helped many of my students participate in their classroom activities including cooking and music activities. The students can use iPads to communicate their wants and needs, make choices, ask questions and more. I have seen my students with complex communication needs blossom and begin to interact with familiar and unfamiliar partners. The are also able to communicate in community settings such as grocery stores or when on field trips. Using iPads with communication applications such as LAMP words for life and TouchChat with Wordpower have given my students the power to communicate.

About my class
