Everyday when we gather together the very old stained torn carpet is not inviting to the students. Some even complain about sitting on the carpet because it is dirty. Even after it is cleaned, the years of use do not go away. The new carpet will create an happier space for them to gather for our morning meetings, lessons, and for read alouds. The students will feel more comfortable sitting on a clean fresh carpet than a torn stained area. Their focus will be on the lesson and working together rather than the dirty looking carpet they are sitting upon.
