My school serves students from two Section 8 federally funded housing areas. It is essential that I provide my students with different seating that will help to fully engage them in their learning experience. These three rocking chairs will be used to help keep my students on task as they attend to books read aloud to them. The rocking chairs will also be available as a way for students to calm down if they are upset. This gives them an a cozy area to experience reading and a relaxing way to calm down if they are upset. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to cultivate and create a love for reading!
