I will use this rug to create an area in my room where students can go to read, work with a partner or parent volunteer or work in an environment that may be more comfortable than sitting at their desk.
Students will be able to work on all subject areas in this area of the classroom as well as foster relationships with their peers to create lifelong friendships.
I’ve already set up a bookshelf, listening center and lap desks but currently students would be sitting on cold tile to do their learning. The rug would really warm the area up and make students feel comfy. It would allow my students to really feel as though our classroom is their home away from home.
