Utilizing Apps and the internet is so beneficial for my students. Speaking another language is challenging enough for my students, so having other opportunities such as APPs for English and APPs for other language skills. These Apps can help build their English skills and their reading skills to help set up future success.
Having a tablet as a teaching tool is motivating and encouraging for all of my students. It is just what these students need! Third graders learn to locate text support and text evidence in our reading curriculum, and it can be challenging for many of my students with language limitations. There are many Apps to help with reading text, on their individual level, for example, Kids A-Z. Unfortunately, many of my students do not have the financial status to purchase their own and miss out on the great opportunity of Apps that could be of great benefit for them. It is my goal to help my students learn the best they can with the most exciting tools and I hope this project is successful!
