My students love to gather during circle time. It is a time where we all sing, dance and socialize. Many of my students have social/emotional and speech goals, and large group activities help with the development of these skills. Currently, my classroom is lacking child size furniture. We do not have chairs and we are lacking an area rug for circle time. My students sit on the floor, which many dislike. In my opinion, my students need child size chairs because if they feel comfortable it is more likely they will pay attention and will be more open to learning. By providing them with an area that's structured, it will help my students engage and feel safe.
