Reading is very important and I want to give the joy of reading to my students in Anchorage, Alaska. My second graders need chapter books to enhance their reading skills, as, well as books that teach Social and Emotional Learning in a fun and creative way. Chapter books will help upper-level students continue to develop into more advanced readers and be challenged and engaged. Julia Cook, as an author, does a great job craftily writing about many different social/emotional skills. I would like to have these books as a resource to help students understand and learn those important skills.

About my class
