Students can research business plans, design principles, and multimedia how-to all day long, but what if they could wear their designs? What if they could market them and create a real business with their work? What if learning weren't theoretical, but authentic? When students take pride in their learning, they take ownership in it. With this ongoing, year-round project, students will learn about business plans, marketing, and reaching target markets while they create materials in class to build a business around. By purchasing a vinyl cutter, heat press, and materials needed to use these items, students can transform their learning by creating t-shirts and other apparel, car decals, phone skins, and more...the options are endless! They can take on e-business by creating a website to market their creations, with profits giving back to the community that supports them!

About my class
