The Fire tablets will not only provide my students with the ability to research jobs, but allow them to apply for jobs online when internet and technology are not available to them at any other time. We are a low income school that has 100% BD students many of which are in foster care or group homes. Social skills are so important to these children. This monthly scholastic magazine will allow us to increase our life skills be studying them. This is another reason why our seating options are so important for maintaining a positive learning environment. The rolling chairs and modified seating might be the only choice they make that day for themselves.
If my list is funded, it will allow 6 special needs children, who desperately want to break the cycle of poverty and stereotypes of children like them the opportunity to be functioning, working members in our community. This is needed to allow these young adults to live a full-filling life that makes them feel important.
