The comfortable bean bag chairs will give the students a place to come and work on assignments throughout the day. The students will be able to independently read or use their iPads to read to them while sitting in the comfortable chairs. The chairs will be a place that encourages reading and thinking. The styluses will give my students who have difficulty with writing on their iPads, using their fingers, the ability to write more neatly and legibly on assignments.
All of these supplies will provide an environment for my students to go beyond their learning disabilities and develop the necessary skills to be able to be successful in school. The chairs and styluses are tools that will help them push past their learning difficulties and make them feel that they are in a fun and safe place. The more safe and comfortable the students feel, the more that they are going to want to work hard and enjoy school at the same time.
