The school has not had a physical education program in almost nine years. Children should be active for 30 minutes a day! Many of them mentioned that they had never encountered Soccer nor Volleyball and were interested in learning how to play. The soccer goals and volleyball net that is being requested will be used by each of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to introduce them to a new sport. The young ladies mentioned that many schools learn volleyball and they should be included as well.
I want to broaden the students knowledge of cultures through sports they are unfamiliar with. Many of the students are only familiar with basketball. If I expose them to other sports at a younger age they will have the potential to develop a skill set that will earn them a scholarship.
